In Cambodia, Plant Planet Plate is based out of the Green Shoots Foundation AgriTech Centre, located in the province of Oddar Meanchey.
The Centre is an award-winning community learning space designed using eco-friendly techniques where the charity focuses on environmental education and regenerative agriculture for young people.
Here, our approach uses interdisciplinary theories and methods from ethnobotany, food studies, and anthropology. In order to capture individual thoughts, experiences, and perceptions of people about the plants around them, we conducted in-depth interviews and foraging walks. We asked people to explain to us their foraging habits, the different plant species they encounter, and how they use them.
